Learning outcomes

The module aims to provide the basics that are the basis of the design to the roof of large span in archeology

Course contents

- The relationship between shape and structure;
- The innovative structural materials;
- The main factors influencing the structural choices;
- The process of structural design;
- Analysis of the main structural types;
- Issues of design and verification.

Teaching methods

The course consists of lectures and guided activities. The activities consist of guided exercises which will be addressed in the design, testing and detailing of large shell.


Assessment methods

Laboratory activities include a series of collective reviews of the works in progress, after which each student will be admitted to an oral exam to verify to verify the achievement of learning outcomes.
