Conoscenze e abilità da conseguire

Al termine del corso lo studente sa riconoscere gli stili della moda dagli anni '60 fino alle ultime tendenze; acquisisce gli strumenti teorico-metodologici per indagare i movimenti della moda e le loro intersezioni con le arti visive.

Programma/Contenuti

The course explores the main steps of the history of fashion, starting from an overall view on designers such as Balenciaga and Dior, then up to the Sixties, the Seventies, the Eightees, the Ninetees and nowadays aesthetics. The course aims to enrich the knowledge of the fashion world through its protagonists in a face-to-face interaction: during the development of the lessons, special guests such as designers and managers will be invited for lectures and workshops, in order to get in touch with the creative and producing processes in fashion making.

Metodi didattici

Projection of images and runway collections to be analyzed during the class

Modalità di verifica dell'apprendimento

Written test. The exam will be held in the IT laboratories of the Rimini Campus on e-learning platform and will consist of different typologies of questions: 1) questions matched with 3/4 alternative answers, with just a correct one; 2) "true" of "false" questions; 3) pictures of designers and styles to be properly recognized.

The aim of the test is to verify the ability of the students to recognize the styles of fashion and their hystorical-critical value.
