Presentazione
The course’s objective is to helpstudents to develop: the ability to identify and evaluate technology opportunitieswith a societal impact; the ability to empathize with their users, their ecosystem,and their needs; the ability to ideate, evaluate and improve solutions thataddress the identified needs, with global and local relevance; the ability toorganize and implement entrepreneurial actions.
Obiettivi
The aim of CBI.ATTRACT is to develop the students’ entrepreneurial mindsetas future innovation players while ensuring the valorization of existinginnovative technologies and applying them to resolve societal needs.
In 16 weeks, inter-university teams of multidisciplinary students investigatebreakthrough technologies to exploit their potential and develop relevantsolutions to solve society, human, and ecosystem needs.
The program methodology is a hybrid model based on the human-centeredapproach of Design Thinking and Tech-Driven Innovation processes to nurturethe students’ ability to identify and evaluate technology opportunities withsocietal impact on a global and local level.
Students will connect with researchers, either with those who developed thetechnology and with other experts, to acquire a technical understanding of thetechnology; with users and professionals from different fields to understand thetechnology’s potential impact in different contexts; finally, they will developvarious ideas in an iterative process and will verify with users whichapplications have more potential.
In CBI.ATTRACT, five multi-disciplinary teams of 6 master students from 3different universities investigate breakthrough technologies to exploit thetechnologies’ innate potential into relevant applications for society. ThePassion-Based Learning methodology that supports the Student Teams is ahybrid model based on the human-centered approach of Design Thinking andTech-Driven Innovation processes. Teams develop various ideas in an iterativeprocess, and through prototyping and testing, verify which ideas andapplications are more impactful. Teams are supported by local coaches,valorizing knowledge from Attract researchers and Ideasquare professionalsduring scheduled design sprints.

The programme is reserved for candidates who, by the time of enrolment, are in possession of the following
qualifications and access requirements:
- All BA degrees, currently enrolled in a Master’s degree (Laurea Magistrale) at the University of Bologna,
University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, University of Ferrara.
- First cycle degree/single cycle degree obtained abroad deemed equivalent to those described in point above
by the admission committee, for the purposes of admission to post-graduate vocational training programme.
- Candidates must demonstrate their knowledge of English, which is the official language of the
programme in question
Criteri di selezione
Admission to the post-graduate vocational training programme is subjected to a positive opinion based on the
selection process.
The selection process entails 2 steps:
a) assessment of the candidates’ curricula vitae, their presentation video and qualifications, for which up
to 60 points are available;
b) individual participation to group assessment, for which up to 40 points are available;
An initial assessment will be performed of the candidates' resumes, presentation videos and qualifications.
