Post-Pandemic Future of Gender Studies & Equality Politics in HE

Gender research and researchers now face new daunting challenges stemming from previous issues aggravated by the pandemic. On 16 June you can join academics, researchers and graduates of the Gender Lab, a seed-funded project, to pave the way for European and cross-border gender research.

The pandemic has not only excacerbated gender inequality, but also affected gender research itself as it has come under particular and critical scrutiny.

The pandemic has led many gender researchers and feminists to argue that 'after the pandemic' should not mean going back to 'before the pandemic'. This is one of the reasons why the Una Europa Gender Lab will provide the tools for an interactive debate in the form of an online workshop. The workshop will be moderated by two experts in Design Thinking methodologies that will allow participants to brainstorm ideas, quickly test solutions and plan further steps to dream utopias and to pave the way for European and cross-border gender research.

Please note: places for this workshop are limited. The selection will favour the representation of all universities involved, as well as the participation of young researchers. More info on the registration at the Una Europa workshop page

The workshop is organised by the Margherita von Brentano Center for Gender Studies at Freie Universität Berlin and sponsored by the Una Europa Seed Funding initiative.

For more information, please contact Dr. Sabina García Peter or visit the Margherita von Brentano Center for Gender Studies website.

Registration by 22 May. Selected participants will be notified by 30 May.
