Entrance exams and enrolment

Entrance exams to degree programmes

In May, in response to the emergency caused by the pandemic, CISIA introduced TOLC@CASA, in order to allow students to take TOLC tests from their homes.
TOLC tests taken after January 2019 (with the exception of TOLC SU tests, valid from 1 April, 2019), including those taken remotely, are valid for A.Y. 2020/21 selections.

Entrance exams other than TOLC tests

The University of Bologna is working to ensure entrance exams to the majority of degree programmes can be taken remotely.

If the degree programme you are interested in does not adopt TOLC tests as entrance exams, check the degree programme’s website to learn about the exam process.

The University of Bologna will allow students to complete the entire matriculation process online.

Tuition fees a.y. 2020/21

Tuition fees are calculated based on the 2020 ISEE value with special subsidies in relation to the right to higher education.

With an ISEE value up to € 23,000, first year students and students that meet merit requirements are totally exempted from paying tuition fees.

Above this threshold, the tuition fee increases in proportion, more favourably for students who have a low income and meet merit requirements.
