Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has acquired a deeper knowledge of international Programmes and funding schemes in the field of education and training – knows the functioning mechanisms of international funding Programmes (how funds are allocated and managed) - is able to analyze a call for proposal or tender (European and extra-European), to identify the objectives and to translate them into project content; is aware of how international projects in the field of education and training are managed – is able to identify relevant indicators for the monitoring of projects – is able to analyze and evaluate, through appropriate tools, the processes and results of education and training international projects – is able to identify project risks and to outline risk management strategies – is able to develop strategies to disseminate and exploit project results in an international context.

Course contents

The course aims to provide the knowledge necessary get familiar with the techniques of international project writing, evaluation and management in the field of education and training

Starting from the analysis of the main funding instruments in the European and extra-European context, the course will analyze project writing, evaluation and monitoring models with the support of real case-studies examination

Specifically, the following topics will be addressed:

- European policies and funding schemes for education, training and social inclusion;

- European calls and tenders: features and specificities;

- Analysis of contexts, innovative character and target groups/beneficiaries: the relevance of a project

- The partnership in international projects: development and management of the partnership

- from the idea to the project: transferable models and tools for project writing and management;

- monitoring and evaluation processes and tools;

- formulation of the project budget;

- dissemination, impact and sustainability of projects
