Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, students will be able to: - recognize the main results of research and monitoring activities related to educational and rehabilitative activities; - prepare the use of observation instruments for context and needs analysis in social and individual contexts; - design educational interventions related to social and cultural issues and evaluate their results with appropriate procedures; - apply techniques and tools for evaluating educational interventions and projects; - contribute to the monitoring activities of interventions aimed to reduce the phenomena of individual or group marginalization; - critically analyze and interpret data related to the evaluation of educational interventions and projects; - use the results of empirical research to analyze and address the changing socio-educational and cultural contexts.

Teaching methods

The course will be delivered in blended way.

Classroom activities will be carried out focusing on active teaching methods (interactive lessons, case studies, teamworks) with a continuous enhancement of the direct experiences of the participants and the interactions between students.

Online activities will require the production of written assignments.

Assessment methods

During the course, formative assessment will be carried out using feedback to offline and online activities aim to self-regulation and external regulation of the learning process by peers and teacher.


Summative assessment will be carried out by a written test (lasting two hours and half), structured with open-ended questions.

To pass the written exam, students are required not only to understand the knowledge (declarative, procedural and situational) present in the materials on the platform and / or in the texts included in the bibliography, but also to apply them in simulated situations, to grasp their interconnections, to identify their assumptions and consequences.
