96863 - LABORATORIO SUL RUOLO DELL'ASSISTENTE SOCIALE NELLE CURE PALLIATIVE: COMPETENZE E PRASSI OPERATIVE

Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop the student: knows the evolution of palliative care and specific legislation; knows the fundamentals of the organization of palliative care services and the complex needs of the patient with oncological and non-oncological pathology and his family; knows the role and skills of social work in palliative care.

Course contents

The seminars organized within the course will address: the legitimation of the social worker in palliative care; The culture of palliative care; The ethical aspects of the social worker profession; The methodological aspects (use of the interview, team work, network, community work); Comparing experiences.

Each seminar will be led by a professional working in the field of palliative care.
The seminar programme for the year 2022/2023 will be the following:

• 16 MARZO ore 15-17 Gianfranco Martucci (AUSL Modena): Il core curriculum dell’assistente sociale in Cure Palliative.
• 23 MARZO ore 15-17 Tania Prandi (AUSL RE): Il valore delle persone e il limite delle cure: il ruolo dell’assistente sociale in Cure Palliative.
• 30 MARZO ore 15-17 Valentina Cappi (Università di Bologna): Tra ricerca e pratica in Cure Palliative.
• 20 APRILE ore 15-17 Federico Pellegatta, Sara Meriggi (VIDAS Milano): La valutazione e la presa in carico dei bisogni sociali nell’assistenza a minori inguaribili.
• 27 APRILE ore 14-17 Ugo Albano (Assistente sociale, giornalista e formatore): La valutazione sociale; Nicola Martinelli (Assistente sociale, formatore, docente): La bioetica del fine vita e gli atteggiamenti etici degli assistenti sociali.
• 4 MAGGIO ore 15-17 Alberto Grossi (VIDAS Milano): Quale ruolo per l’assistente sociale in un servizio di Cure Palliative per adulti?
• 11 MAGGIO ore 15-17 Massimiliano Cruciani (Associazione ZeroK): Cure Palliative e Dichiarazioni Anticipate di Trattamento (DAT): un diritto, un valore e un’opportunità.

Teaching methods

Lectures with in-depth study of case studies and practical exercises.

Assessment methods

Credits will be recognized when the following conditions are met:

1) Attendance of the seminar meetings (6) (there will be an attendance check for each lesson).

2) The final examination consists of writing a paper to be sent by email to the teacher at the latest 10 days before the date of the examination:

- the topic is of the student's choice and can be communicated and discussed via email with the teacher;

- the paper must have a maximum length of 15000 characters including spaces.
