Learning outcomes
Students are expected to be already familiar with the Japanese language and culture at least at the level N5 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). At the end of the course, they will acquire the linguistic and communicative competence of the Japanese language at the level of N4 of the JLPT (more or less equivalent to the B1 of the CEFR) and know how to utilize digital resources for understanding authentic Japanese texts, conducting translations or preparing presentations.
Course contents
Starting from the basics acquired at the elementary level, new linguistic materials will be learned, using Genki 2: An Integrated Course in Elementary Japanese through various types of exercises focusing on different skills. They will also learn how to utilize digital resources for conducting a translation task or preparing an oral presentation.
