- Language: Italian
- Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
- Campus: Bologna
- Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Physics (cod. 9245)
Learning outcomes
The student will become acquainted with perturbation theory for interacting quantum fields and collision theory. In particular, he/she will have a basic knowledge of radiative corrections and vacuum polarization through the use of Feynman diagrams.
Course contents
The generating functional. The Feynman rules. The collision operator in perturbative quantum field theory. Cross-sections. Lowest order quasi-elastic processes. Radiative corrections. Vacuum polarization.
