Learning outcomes

The student will knows the basic elements (lexical and grammatical) of Italian sign language, with nods to regional varieties - will be able to use them in basic communicative situations.

Course contents

The program includes an introduction to linguistics of sign languages and in particular the of Italian Sign Language. The lessons will focus on classical aspects of phonology and morphosyntax, pragmatics and about the sociolinguistic.

Also I hint to the translation and interpretation of signed languages to voice and vice versa, links with reading and writing of deaf children.
