Learning outcomes
The student - knows the basic features (terms, concepts and methods) needed for the study of the structure, functions and textual organization of the Russian language - knows the basic techniques required for information mining, drafting, editing and revising texts - is able to understand, analyze and coherently produce complex written texts (but also oral speeches) belonging to various specialized text types and genres, particularly multimedia ones
Course contents
The course will be based on the acquisition of the knowledge of the text types in Russian with particular attention to the contemporary language. Morphological, syntactic and lexical aspects will be analyzed. Emphasis will be placed on the language of multimedia communication and on the understanding and production of texts intended for publication.
Particular attention will be given to the phraseologisms and to the slang-language used in today's mass media world in all its semantic functions and nuances.

The focus of the lessons will consist in the analysis, processing and discussion of digital materials. The course will be based on a continuous work in class with assignment of individual and / or group tasks. This kind of tasks should be carried out autonomously, and will be presented and discussed in the classroom in turn way.
Students must attend the course for a minimum of 70% of the lessons and consign the works done during the course to the teacher
Assessment methods
Mass media texts will be analyzed in class with the help of specific descriptive and interpretative categories. Individual tasks will be assigned regularly. Finally, those tasks will be analyzed and corrected collectively.
The exam will consist of:
a) a written test (composition of a new article focused on argoment treated during the course);
b) an oral test:
- a presentation of the glossary, produced during the course;
- a brief summary of the various topics covered during the course.
