Course contents

The course focuses on critical readings of articles and videos centred on political science topics. Material for discussion and readings will be distributed during the classes.

Critical readings are structured in th efollowing way:

  1. Introduction
  2. Theme and context
  3. Analysis of the structure
  4. Evaluation of general theme
  5. Clarity and precision
  6. Strengths and weaknesses or argument
  7. Positive, negative, balanced criticism
  8. Argument
  9. Relevance
  10. Conclusions

Readings/Bibliography

Any book-article on critical reading.

Teaching methods

Lectures are interactive teacher-student. Each week students will read one article and write a review.

Assessment methods

One review essay of maximum 1000 words to hand in by 20 December 2018
