Course contents

The course is divided into two Modules:

Module 1 - Simona Zambelli -- 30 hours -(Focus: Stock Markets, Portfolio Theory; Investments Management Performance applied to Trading Simulation platforms); Prof. Zambelli is also the  Coordinator for the entire Course.

Module 2 - Andi Duqi- 15 hours (Fixed Income Securities) 15 hours

 

Short Syllabus: The course provides students with a deep overview of financial markets with a main focus on stocks and porfolio management (Module 1), bonds (Module 2)

Prerequisites: The course is specifically designed for students currently enrolled within the major Degree program in English activated in Forlì Campus, School of Economics, Management and Statistics.

Attention: A previous knowledge on Financial Mathematics, Financial Analysis  is required before attending this course. The course welcome international students who are part of International Erasmus Agreements currently signed with the School of Economics, Management and Statistics, Forlì Campus, who has already gained a previous knowledge on Financial Mathematics and Financial Analysis.

 

Course Structure and Organization (of Module 1)

Module 1 (30 hours) - Simona Zambelli

Module 1 focuses on the following parts of the Book (BKM):

  • Introduction on Financial System (Book BKM Part I)
  • Portfolio Theory and Practice (Book BKM Part II)
  • Equilibrium in Capital Markets (Book BKM Part III)
  • Applied Portfolio Management (BKM Part VII)
  • Basics on Derivatives (Book BKM Part VI)

 

Module 2 (15 hours) –Andi Duqi -- The main objective of Module 2 is to advance the knowledge of students on Fixed-Income Securities, with a main focus on:

  • Bond Prices and Yields, Term Structure of Interest Rates (Book BKM Part IV).

For module 1, please send the projectwork  via email to

making sure to write in the subject of the mail the following line (otherwise your email will be ignored);

Module 2 will be evaluated directly by the teacher in charge of it.

 

The final mark will be equal to the weighted average of the grade obtained in Module 1 (weight of 67%) and the grade obtained in Module 2 (weight of 33%)
