Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student: - uses reflective skills on the existential dimensions of the couple and family relationships; - is able to deal with the cultural complex universe that distinguishes these relations - is able to support individuals and to approach others providing an educational care.

Course contents

Main contents of the course:

- The existential dimensions of the relationship with the other

- The acknowledgment of the own difference and the recognition of the others'

- Love as a tangle of thoughts and emotions

- Couple relationships and family: a prism with many faces

- Communication and conflict in the couple and family systems

- What it means educating to love.

Classes will take place in the second term

The final exam is a written exam structured in different types of questions. Some questions aim to attest contents knowledge; some others aim to asses reflective and reasoning skills.
