Learning outcomes
Students are provided with an in-depth knowledge of international, EU, national and local legal frameworks concerning the organisation and provision of social care and health care services.
In particular, the role of non profit organisations and social enteprises in the supply of social care and health care services will be analysed.

1. EU law and social care services and their protection
2. The Italian legal system and the organisation of social and health care services
2.1. Roles and functions of public authorities in the field of social and health care services
3. Integrated Care Services and their organisation and management
4. Integrated Care Services and the role of public bodies
5. The role of non profit organisations in the supply of Integrated Care Services
5.1. Public authorities: procedures and the cooperation relationships with non profit organisations
5.2. Personal health budget: an innovative way to take care of fragile and vulnerable people and to develop collaboration between public authorities and non profit organisations

Teaching methods
Traditional lectures together, analysis of case law and of administrative procedures
Assessment methods
The final assessment will consist of an oral examination, which is aimed at assessing students' knowledge and skills acquired during classes.
Attending students will have the possibility of choosing between an interview or the drafting of a working paper, according to the guide lines that will be communicated at the beginning of the course.
Teaching tools
Teaching power point presentations as well as papers, articles, regulations and rulings will be provided on the course's web site.
