Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student will:

 - know the conceptual tools in the legal and institutional context to understand the basic notions of legal systems at a supranational, national and local level;

 - know the methodological tools for the analysis of legal texts and tools to understand the different functions and the role of the European Union, State, Regions, local and private-social bodies;

- have the capacity to analyze the social protection system and the evolution of Welfare models, public interventions on social services (educational, social-welfare, social-health services) and the areas within social services operate, the public and private organizations responsible for social services.

Course contents

1.General elements of Administrative Law: the historical perspective and main concepts  2.  Constitutional principles of Public Administration: public assistance, solidarity, social inclusion     3. Public organizational structure 4. Public Administration activity 5. The social services legal system
