Learning outcomes

At the end of the training period, the student will be able to apply learnt skills in order to treat the patient in relation with EBP . He identifies the needs of the person at different stages of their lives, through an assessment of the clinical data that consider cognitive changes and communicative aspects. The students acts according to ethical principles and disciplinary proceedings. He recognises and respects the role and competences of himself and of the other actors of the healthcare team, establishing collaborative relationships; he then interacts and collaborates with multiprofessional team in order to plan and manage multidisciplinary rehabilitation inter-actions. At the end oh the training period, the student knows hot to estabilish appropria relationships with the family members of the patient

Course contents

- apply assessment, elaborate and interpret relevant data, in order to highlight potentialities and deficits
- formulate the logopedic balance by integrating the different evaluation profiles
- Identify the user's logopedic rehabilitation needs
- analyze available resources
- choose correct modalities for speech therapy
- know how to draw up a treatment plan
- propose, apply, and adapt therapist therapeutic activities to the user
- involve caregivers in achieving rehabilitation goals through counseling
- understand the interaction between the various operators to encourage the user's participation and integration in the social context
- assess the effects of treatment at the end of the therapeutic intervention and compare the results with the goals set, highlighting any unexpected results and eventually modifying your actions
-carry out bibliographic research in relation to the disorders
