Learning outcomes

At the end of the training period, the student has a wide range of skills that allow him to independently apply the most appropriate speech therapy treatment. It identifies the needs of the person in the different phases of life, through an evaluation of clinical data that consider the cognitive and functional changes of communication. He can act in a manner consistent with ethical, deontological and disciplinary principles. Recognizes and respects the role and the competences of the assistance team, by establishing collaborative relationships, interacts and collaborates actively with multi-professional teams in order to plan and manage inter-multidisciplinary rehabilitation interventions. He can manage the relationship with the family members of the citizen.

Course contents

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

- to recognize the main forms of pathologies and disorders of communication

- to observe and learn how to manage the interview in the speech-language clinic as a tool for the acquisition and interpretation of data useful for the knowledge of communicative-linguistic characteristics in the developmental, adult and geriatric age.

- to detect signs and symptoms to formulate a diagnostic-rehabilitative / logopedic judgment apply assessment tools differentiated according to the disorders, for the classification of the disorders of language and communication make a balance between the resources and the user's deficits

- to use the principles and theories of linguistics in the evaluation of the components of communication, of verbal, non-verbal and written language of the person and of the community

- to manage the logopedic folder in accordance with current legislation

- to learn how to manage logopedic counseling with the user, the caregiver, the family and the various social agencies

- to hypothesise logopedic rehabilitative objectives

- to manage their own reactions and experiences in front of the patient

- to adapt your behavior to different speech and speech situations

- to draw up the logopedic report of the clinical cases presented
