the cuouse aims at providing students with a working knowledge of the basic Mathematical tools necessary to attend the course "Quantitative Methods"

Vector spaces, matices, diagonailzation and spectral analysis, quadratic forms

Differential calculus of several variables

Free and constrained optimization in several variables

Chalk and blackboard have proved powerfully enduring and pervasive technologies in the teaching of Mathematics. However, since we are well aware that we are already in the thrird millennium, sometimes also transparencies and a computer-connected video projector will be used

 Mandatory written test.

Optional oral exam in case of test passed.
