Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student: - knows and understands the main models of educational mediation with particular reference to the role of educators of services for early childhood; - Knows the types of services for children and is able to compare their evolution in the local and national level; - He knows the ways of managing the work of the section and plexus and to coordinate their work with that of colleagues at section, complex and with other operators; - He is able to build projects of continuity with the kindergarten (bridge sections / spring) and other agencies of the territory; - It is able to use verbal and non-verbal cues to communicate to families and other educators their teaching strategies; - It is able to identify educational problems relating to the performance of their professional experiences and promoting training in services.

Course contents

The course is made of:

- 34 hours in presence

- 14 hours in e-learning (ad inizio corso verranno comunicate le giornate precise)

The contents will be developed around the following topics:

The network of services for early childhood: 'nido' (0 - 3 years old); Babies and Parents centres 

Pree-schools services professionalism: dealing with children, families, other educators, and the organisation of space and time.

 The cognitive and emotional child: observe, understand support

Debate and analysis on the results of the latest research on the following topics:

- Natural education in sustainable perspective, the role of childcare

- The emotional competence and emotional socialization, as promoting them in the early years.
