Learning outcomes

By the end of the course students will have gained a good knowledge of contemporary fictional and not-fictional literature from the Low Countries

Course contents

Fiction and non-fiction from the contemporary Low Countries. We will read and examine works by A. van der Zijl, F. Westerman, C. Nooteboom, A. Grunberg, L. de Winter, T. Wieringa, J. de Vries.

Teaching methods

Students will write a paper and present it orally at the end of the semester.

Paper and written exam.
