Learning outcomes

To learn and apply methods for image analysis: fundamental steps in digital image analysis,digital image fundamentals,spatial filtering,filtering in frequency domain,multiresolution ,image segmentation,object detection and recognition.

Course contents

Introduction to image analysis.Image analysis in science and in technological applications.Images sources.Image aquisition.Image elaboration in spatial domain.Image elaboration in frequency domain.Multiresolution analysis.wavelet.Image segmentation.Object detection and classification in images. Introduction to deep learning and its application in Image Analysis.

Assessment methods
