Course contents

The course starts from the study of the development of the scientific thought and issues related to the observation and measurement of social phenomena. The course gives information about surveying techniques and methods to project questionnaires.
In the second part of the course, elements of Visual Basic are provided in order to realize forms to collect data both with personal computer and on the Web.
Part of the course is dedicated to the introduction to communication techniques with group exercises.

  • Teaching methods

    Lessons are given in one of the laboratories. Teacher's activity are shown on a screen.

    Assessment methods

    The student is asked to project a questionnaire creating also a form to collect data with the software used during the lessons.
    The oral examination consist in verifying knowledge about constructing questionnaires. The teacher will also verify the correct working of the form.
