Learning outcomes

Trough the historiographical debate on the one hand and the examination of specific contexts on the other hand, at the end of the course the student gains understanding of the discipline problems and gets an appropriate training on the operational aspect.

Course contents

The course includs general problem of archives in their history; for a proper knowledge of the subject, different types of archives will be taken in consideration; the examination of concrete situations, concerns, as well as the archives of private sobjects (and family), the corporate archives of large and small companies, and ecclesiastical institutions archives.. Historicizing the problems related to this kind of archives, the course aims to achieve an understanding of the issues, to a consciousness of contemporari situation, providing appropriate skills at the end of the course.
