  • Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Architecture (cod. 0881)

Course contents

At a time marked by uncertainty and economic crisis, more than ever we need to understand what is the role of architecture. Oscillating between the showy forms of a global language lent to the media exposure and the difficulty to identify careful expressions able to rediscover the values of a specific tradition, architectural composition is forced into a thorough review in order to restablish its meaning and significance. Analyzing the work of some of the fundamental masters, the course aims to frame in a narrow field the elements and the operations of the architectural composition, directing aiming at the construction of the project in a non random or self-referential procedure, but able to establish a local identity.
