Learning outcomes

At the end of the module the student is able to use the basic analytical, critical and expressive tools for the management and interpretation of the industrial product project according to the main themes of the art of configuring in relation to technology. Through exercises on the foundational elements of industrial design, the student knows: the dual aspects of the technology of building the foundations of the art of configuring (notion of system, notion of sign as unity of structure and image, notion of differences); the basic elements of structural grammar (tecnemi or morphemes, constructive elements or words, design or sentences) and of generative and transformational grammar; the role of the user through notions of visual and haptic perception.

Course contents

The objective of the Industrial Design Course T is to provide the student with the rudiments for the development of a personal design methodology applied to a predetermined theme.

The exam will be organized in one day, the following outputs will be requested:

Furthermore, each of the results obtained in the individual teaching modules will be evaluated. The criteria will be communicated by the titled teachers of the didactic modules. The various assessments will form the final judgment of each student (in part, the result of collective work and, in part, of individual work). The following contribute to the formulation of the judgment:

- active participation in the course;

- quality of the works presented;

- punctuality of lessons and deliveries.

Teaching tools

Frontal lessons (presentations / slideshows);

Punctual reviews of student work progress;

Collective reviews of the progress of the students' work foreseen for the various teaching modules (student presentations / slideshows and choral discussion with the teacher);

Monographic and seminar lessons with invited guests (the calendar will be made available at the beginning of the course).
