Course contents

The course intends to analyze, adopting a seminar-type working method, the neoliberal phenomenon and the practices of governing subjectivity in the light of the most recent economic and social transformations. This issue will be treated according to a transdisciplinary perspective and framed starting from reflections and arguments that have as their objective the questioning of the various critical issues of contemporary capitalism. During the course we will try to test the theoretical significance of the main concepts that make up the neoliberal lexicon and to investigate the emerging phenomena connected to the legal, economic and social changes connected to them. In particular, it will be our interest to refer to the transformations that affect the sphere of production, work, welfare, social reproduction and public policies. The course is divided into a series of meetings with renowned researchers, scholars and experts on the aforementioned topics. In addition to the actual seminar moment, preparatory moments are planned in the classroom which aim to introduce and discuss with the participants the topics that will be treated specifically by the invited speakers.

The program of seminar meetings is still being defined and will be published in the coming weeks, to coincide with the availability of the lesson timetable.
