Teaching methods

The course is articulated in 30 hours of lesson, in which the linguistic competences are mainly developed, and in 30 hours of laboratory activities, that privilege the communicative competences and the reading comprehension of historycal, cultural and political articles.

30 hours of self-learning with multimedia material in the Virtual Learning Environment of the University of Bologna are recommended.

Assessment methods

The students are asked to do a written examination and an oral test.

The written test is to verify the linguistic competences, in particular elements of morphology and word-study, including the ability of written comprehension on political topics.

The oral test is focused on the communicative competences, on the ability of oral expression using articles about actuality and politics taken from the Internet and the most popular newspapers and Russian reviews. In particular, they are asked to do a presentation using one of the texts analized during the lessons.

The students that do not attend lessons are asked to find authentic material in Internet and to prepare a paper to expose during the final oral examination.
