66420 - Joint Intensive Learning Unit (Winter School) - II

Academic Year 2021/2022

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Cesena
  • Corso: Second cycle degree programme (LM) in Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology (cod. 9236)

Learning outcomes

By the end of this module, students will know principles of evidence based assessment, and will be able to do and to present a good literature review focused on collecting and critically examining results and evidence concerning issues at stake in an intervention.

Course contents

The Joint Intensive Learning Unit is an in-residence activity where all students are physically present in a small town close to the University of Valencia for two weeks to develop multicultural skills and competencies related to the design of new interventions.

One of the main content of the module concerns the design methodology and tools for professional intervention in new situations.

Different aspects of the design methodology will be considered, such as customer expectations, costs and benefits, political and contextual constraints, stakeholders, etc.

In addition, students (in teams with an international composition) have to analyze the main demands and characteristics of the context in a given region of the world, identifying relevant contextual factors that need to be considered when designing and implementing professional interventions in the discipline.

Teaching material will be available in the moodle platform of the University of Valencia WOP-P master.

Teaching methods

To participate in this activity, WOP-P Master students are incorporated in multicultural teams, and they have to cooperate to achieve shared objectives. This is done through face-to-face interactions and also via electronic communication. This strategy facilitates a context that is similar to international and multicultural scenarios where the future WOP psychologists will work.

Assessment methods

The assignments for this module, and the evaluation criteria, are the same mentioned in the 8 cfu module of this course (course 66418).
