Learning outcomes

The course is structured on the knowledge of the following chapters of Basic Geology: a) Litology based on the recognition of minerals and rocks through genetic processes; b) Geothematical cartography as a function of the preparation and reading of the geological documents for the design of the building through the generalities of Stratigraphic Geology and Structural Geology; c) Geological Risks s.l. with particular regard to volcanic risk, seismic risk, landslide risk and flood risk, according to the study and assessment of environmental impacts (V.I.A.).

Course contents

a) Litology in function of the recognition of minerals and rocks through genetic processes;
b) Geothematical cartography as a function of the preparation and reading of the geological documents for the design of the building through the generalities of Stratigraphic Geology and Structural Geology;
c) Geological Risks s.l. with particular regard to volcanic risk, seismic risk, landslide risk and flood risk, according to the study and assessment of environmental impacts (V.I.A.)
d) underground water.

Teaching methods

Frontal lessons if will be possible, according to the rules imposedby the pandemy of coronavirus. Actualy it is not possile to foresee what will be the situation after the summer. If will be mandatory, there will be on site and online lessons. if will be possible on site visits

Assessment methods

Due to the rules imposed by the virus there will be a Written exam with the possibilty to discuss the answers, or an oral online, if requested by the student
