Learning outcomes

The course aims to achieve the following objectives. To provide the basis for developing professional and decision-making autonomy in the recognition and treatment of onco haematological diseases in according to the genetic molecular basis. To provide the scientific and methodological bases for expanding the knowledge of the main indications of the genetics of haematological diseases. To provide the basis of the main theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the main genetic analysis and consultation in the genetic-based haematological diseases.


Course contents

Knowledge of the applications of cytogenetics in the diagnostics and in the therapeutic approach of haematological diseases

  • Cytogenetics of myeloproliferative diseases

  • Cytogenetics of lymphoproliferative diseases

Introduction to the application of new techniques

Didactic material will be provided during the lessons. Updated publications regarding teaching topics will be indicated.

Assessment methods

At the end of the integrated course, the exam will consist of an oral or a written test with a question of each teaching
