Assessment methods

The exam is simultaneous for both channels, A and B. It takes place together with the remaining modules of the integrated course and includes a written test; alternatively, there is the possibility of taking the exam orally, on request. If it is not possible to take the exam in attendance, the teachers reserve the right to decide for each appeal the method of the exam. The written test is for all modules a multiple choice quiz. There are 7 questions of Audiology, 7 questions of Otolaryngology, 9 questions of Ophthalmology and 8 questions of Odontostomatological Diseases. By assigning 1 point for each exact question, the student will be able to obtain a mark of 30 and Praise if he correctly answers all the questions and consequently the mark will drop by one unit for each wrong question. Therefore the mark of 18 will coincide with 18 correct questions out of 31. The duration of the overall test is 40 minutes. Each module has to be passed; if only one is not sufficient, the exam has to be repeated entirely. Tools such as calculation aids, vocabularies, etc. cannot be used. Registration for the exam takes place online on Alma Esami. The student will receive notification of the grade on Alma Esami and may possibly reject it by sending an email to the Coordinator of the IC.
