Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student:- knows the categories of museum education considered in the different fields of social and cultural extracurricular education; - is able to read the characteristics of the different contexts, also identifying their problems; - is able to reflect on his / her skills as a cultural educator and to modify his / her behaviors and roles in different social contexts; - knows the main pedagogical and methodological aspects related to museum teaching and of the educational heritage; - knows the contemporary debate relating to the educational function of museums and the pedagogy of heritage with particular reference to national and international guidelines; - knows the didactic methodologies necessary for the planning of interventions for different users; - is able to independently carry out research of material and functional documentation to the knowledge of the main Italian, European and non-European museum institutions

- Principle theoretical approaches to museum didactics

- The various profiles of the educational museum

-Real and virtual museums

- The elements of educational and didactic quality in museum spaces quality

- The competences of thecultural operator in a museum

- The museum system on a nationaland international level
