Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student possesses a knowledge aimed at environmental sciences on the functioning of computers, the main IT tools, the Internet and databases. It is also able to use the main software to support individual productivity and has some rudiments of information processing.

Course contents

  • The building blocks of computer hardware and software.
  • The operating system: the structure and the main functions. File system: basic operations.
  • Computer networks. Internet and the WWW.
  • The e-mail, certified mail and digital signature.
  • Computer security: viruses, phishing, etc.
  • Personal productivity software: word processor (word and google document), spreadsheet (excel e google sheets), presentation (power point and google presentation), database (mention).
