Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has knowledge of the basic principles of the legislation relating to the professional activity and the fundamental principles of labor law in public administration and Community law

Course contents

The course will cover the following areas:

1. Genesis and historical principles of labor law and labor law in public administration ;

2. Sources of labor law

3. Trade union law (Labor relations - The employment relationship. - Trade unions law - Workers' representative structures in workplaces. - Collective bargaining and the law)

4. The employment relationship (Administrative organization and government intervention in the labor market - The employment. Legal forms of employment- Flexible contracts - The contract of employment and discipline - The organization of workers: duties, qualifications, categories - The obligations of the worker - The powers of the employer - Employment relationship's suspension and extinction. Dismissal)

Teaching methods

Lectures, in Italian language.

The course will take place through lectures for all the thematic areas referred to under the heading Programs / contents, also taking into account the contribution of the students attending the topics themselves.

Assessment methods

The exam will be held as an interview.

The examination will focus on the topics indicated in the "Program and contents" section.

The evaluation will take into account the knowledge of the topics, of the exhibition capacity and of the connection between the different themes.
