Learning outcomes

After completing this module the student will have the skills to perform all dental hygienist skill maneuvers. In particular it will be able to: 1. position themselves correctly in the seat and maintain the correct posture work to avoid fatigue, 2. avoid harmful compensatory positions reducing the risk of occupational diseases, 3. take proper position the body and the patient's head according to the areas of the mouth to be treated, to improve the operator performances and patient comfort, 4. use the equipment in the safest way, comfortable and effective to reduce the risk of damage and improving the quality of work. 5. make a non-surgical periodontal instrumentation manual and mechanical and re-evaluate the patient at the end of the causal therapy 6. identify and use of oral hygiene tools 7. know how to do everything mentioned above in patients of all ages and conditions, each according to their needs.

1. Working positions; 2. carious disease; 3. causal therapy of caries; 4 fluoride; 5. Nomenclature of instruments; 6. use of sealants; 7. polishing of restorations; 8. dental whitening.
