Learning outcomes

The student should be able to recognize, face and solve simple cases of conservative dentistry. In particular, the student is able to: recognize and appropriately use the main tools used for conservative dentistry; recognize and appropriately use the main materials for conservative dentistry; diagnose the main diseases that require a treatment in conservative dentistry; recognize the proper indications for treatment in conservative dentistry; plan and organize simple cases in in conservative dentistry; coordinate a dental assistant for holding conservative interventions; perform conservative preparations on phantoms.

Course contents

1. knowledge of dental anatomy and modeling; 2. knowledge of tools used for conservative dentistry; 3. knowledge and proper use of the main materials for conservative dentistry; 4. ability to diagnose the main diseases that require a conservative treatment; 5. ability to recognize indications of conservative treatment; 6. ability to plan and organize simple cases in conservative dentistry; 7. ability to coordinate a dental assistant for holding conservative interventions.
