Learning outcomes
The student shouldbe: conversant withthe necessary instruments (elements of grammar and different types of dictionaries) and the basic methods of translation (macro and micro structures of texts, how to draw up the target texts); should be able to apply these in practice to a variety of text types; should be able to identify and apply the appropriate basictranslational strategies to the texts to be translated
Course contents
The students will practice translating texts of several different types from Italian into German, improving their command of the German language and their capacities for source text analysis and target text rendering.
For students who need teaching support in German language learning, a personal tutoring service is available, which can be booked via email.

Assessment methods
Translation of a short text extract (approx. 250 words), similar to those addressed during the course.
There are on-going tests and a final test. The final test aims to verify the ability to translate into German short tracks compatible with professional assignments.
The final vote is the average between the final translation of active translation and passive translation
