Course contents

The course of Methodology 2 aims to develop competences for textual analysis applied to all kind of texts . The course presupposes the basic competences of text analysis developed in Metodology 1, and it will focalise on the more advanced theoretical developments of contemporary semiotic research. The notion of text will be analyzed as well as the thresholds of this concept. (This section will occupy the first part of the course).

The second part of the course will concentrate on recent field of research in Semiotics: practices, embodiment, different forms of sensory and perceptual experience , with a particular attention to taste and sounds. The tow sensory fields will be discussed in theoretical and practical forms. This will cover the second part of the course.

Finally the last part of the course will be devoted to the concepts of body and intersubjectivity, in their relationship, especially in first prelinguistic interactions.

At the end of the course the student will be required to present and discuss the project of the analysis on which it will consists the exam. (See exams)
