Learning outcomes

The purpose of the course is to give students the necessary tools to properly manage the psychopharmacological treatments. The course covers the fundamentals of clinical psychopharmacology, but are placed in the foreground aspects of security. In particular the training objectives will be: a) Knowledge and understanding: knowing receptor action and kinetics, as well as directions, ways of use, effectiveness and toxicity of the main classes of drugs. b) Knowledge and understanding applied: the student must be able to formulate a program for drug treatment, including prevention and monitoring to side effects, for the most common diseases of interest of Psychiatry and Pediatrics. c) Making judgments: students must show to critically compare the sources of information and to select those independent and not subject to potential conflicts of interest. d) Communication skills: the student must be able to inform patients (or parents in case of minors) about treatment options and share with them the custom project. e) Learning skills: students must develop skills that allow him to continue his training on these topics once completed the course
