32646 - Environmental Technical Physics - Part II

Academic Year 2018/2019

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Cesena
  • Corso: Single cycle degree programme (LMCU) in Architecture (cod. 0881)

Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to provide to study energy performance of buildings, with particular reference at design and technologies choices related to energy efficiency and plant-system, with aim to obtain comfort condition in indoor space: thermo-hygrometric, acoustic, daylight, and indoor air quality.

The students will be to adopt and to verify the environmental technical physics aspect related to building design and technologies, materials, in order to increase energy efficiency and comfort condition.

Course contents

Applied thermodynamics adn thermocynetics. Psychrometrics.

Comfort indoor and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Thermal comfort.

Thermo-physics parameter of building components and buildings elements, Thermal resistance and thermal transmittance, include dynamics parameters and thermal bridges.

Hygrothermal performance of building components and building elements – Calculation methods and Glaser Diagram.

Energy performance of buildings to heating and cooling and energy performance of index calculation include procedure and legislation.

Introduction Applied Lighting: photometry, luminosity function, natural lighting and artificial lighting of interiors and of outdoor environments.

Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning Plants (HVAC&R): thermal comfort, indoor air pollution – heating of buildings, energy needs, energy saving –ventilation - air conditioning needs in buildings
