73328 - LABORATORIO DI SPECIALIZZAZIONE PROFESSIONALE IN PREVENZIONE E CURA EDUCATIVA DEL DISAGIO SOCIALE II (G.H)

Academic Year 2017/2018

Course contents

Cultures, disciminations and prejudices in the discourses
The laboratory focuses on the study of prejudice and racist ideology within the large intercultural issues and cultural differences. The psychosocial approach to the study of these concepts is divided into three basic topics: prejudice and stereotypes, their reduction, the discourse. The workshop also aims to address some key themes: 1) the mental structures that shape our ideologies and beliefs; 2) the relationship between the groups and institutions that come into play in the development and reproduction of discrimination between groups; 3) the ways in which texts and everyday conversations (re) produce, sometimes quite subtle and veiled, prejudicial attitudes that aim to social exclusion.
During the workshop will be analyzed theoretically and through practical examples in particular the press, but also social networks, the distinctive characteristics of racist ideology and prejudice and its manifestations in the discourse.
