Learning outcomes

After the course, the student possesses a knowledge of the aspects related to general education and pedagogy related to the teaching profession for secondary school.

he is able to apply their knowledge to the specific field of teaching and learning of mathematics.

Course contents

The course offers a general framework of contemporary debate on disciplinary maters in learning. A first stage of lessons is dedicated to discuss the epistemologic foundation of learning and its placement in pedagogy, suppling a panoramic of different interpretation from foundative fathers to authors who are the hallmark of contemporary cultural and historical context. The second part shows some of the basic matters related to learning planning (the concept of target, the learning models of individualization and of personalization and their tools). Furthermore they will be discussed other topics related to timing, spaces and social aspects of educative experience. Finally, the course offers a general framework of special education, in particular it focuses on the concept of inclusion in school and in society of people with disabilities and specific learning disabilities. The course will be supplied in blended learning modality.

Teaching methods

The learning objects will be supplied in blended learning modality.

The platform provides a number of exercises, some of which will be offered to students with teacher feedback in the classroom.

Teaching methods: lectures and short exercises in the classroom, workshop in the computer lab, case study, individual exercises on the platform Moodle.

Assessment methods

The assessment consists of an oral exam in which students will have to test their knowledge of the materials presented in the platform Moodle, starting with the exercises carried out, relating to Teaching materials and Special Pedagogy.

Students can choose 10 exercises present in Moodle and save them in platform on a date agreed with the teacher during the course.
