Learning outcomes

The course provides the basic knowledge to address problems of knowledge representation using appropriate computer tools of analysis. The student at the end of the course knows the theoretical, methodological and technical issues relating to the computerized processing of texts within the activities of humanistic character; knows the elements of the legal regulation on the processing of digital objects and their related technologies. Knows how to set up and implement databases and digital archives.

1 - Overview of international and national experiences

· History: Technological innovation and Digital Humanities

· Debate: Text and the computer

· Present and Future: Digital Culture and Knowledge Networks

2 -Legislative framework on processing of digital objects
3 - Objectives and Software:

· The acquisition of texts and images

· Design, Database Development and digital archives

· Publishing content online
