Course contents

What is data and where does it come from? The answers might surprise you. The ability to identify, collect, and analyze data is an increasingly important capability in the modern society. Not only to meet the needs of modern economies but, more importantly, to be able to identify data, and hence, evidence, in the face of a multitude of ‘realities’. We will discuss the nature and origins of data, how data is produced, where we can find it, and the problems in all three of these.
