Assessment methods

The end-of-course exam aims to evaluate the achievement of the didactic objectives by verifying the student's ability to apply his or her knowledge and to make the necessary logical-deductive connections.

The final evaluation consists of an oral test on the topics of the program or alternatively a written test.

Graduation of the final grade for the oral exam:

Preparation on a very limited number of topics covered in the course and analytical skills that emerge only with the help of the teacher, expressed in an overall correct language → 18-19;

Preparation on a limited number of topics covered in the course and ability to autonomous analysis only on purely executive matters, expression in correct language → 20-24;

Preparation on a large number of topics covered in the course, ability to make independent choices of critical analysis, mastery of specific terminology → 25-29;

Basically exhaustive preparation on the topics covered in the course, ability to make autonomous choices of critical analysis and connection, full mastery of specific terminology and ability to argue and self-reflection → 30-30L.

Graduation of the final mark for the written test: the verification takes place through tests with multiple choice quizzes and open questions.

There are 15 multiple choice quizzes and the score is +2 if correct, -1 if wrong and 0 if absent.

The open questions, 3 in number, have a score of +3 if correct, -3 if wrong and -1 if absent.

The time available to the student for the written test is 35 minutes. During the test the use of support material such as textbooks, notes, computer supports is not allowed.

The maximum score obtainable by providing all correct and complete answers is therefore equal to 30 cum laude. The test is passed with a minimum score of 18/30.
