Course contents

The laboratory aims to introduce tools and methods of daily work that emphasize the teahcer’s potential and that are an opportunity to propose an active and laboratory teaching.

In particular, some features of e-learning platforms (Moodle and the G Suite) will be considered as sharing tools among teachers and between teachers and learners.

Some softwares not usually used for educational purposes (Liber Office, CmapsTools, Prezi, etc.) will be used as a support for school activities, within ( keeping in mind) the open source perspective.

The knowledge of new learning environments beyond the classroom and of the possible teaching strategies in these new contexts of study, will also play an important role.

Readings/Bibliography

Teacher will give you recommended reading and other contents to study in digital form.

Teaching methods

The course is organized in laboratory mode and includes both practical tests evaluated by the teacher during each meeting, and tests and/or essays to be submitted to the teacher at the end of the laboratory.

We will work individually (research and implementation of teaching materials and concept maps) and in small groups to produce a teaching unit.

Please note that one of the meetings will be held together with some students of the secondary school, in the role of tutor.

Assessment methods

This Laboratory does not have grade, but "idoneità" (pass/fail evaluation).

Each lab is made of 3 ECTS: there are 24 hours in presence (8 hours for each ECTS) and 51 hours of individual study (each ECTS is 25 hours).

To get the "Idoneità" (final evaluation) students must attend all 24 hours (with active participation) and provide all assignments request.

Teaching tools

Lectures are usually in the computer lab with pc and interactive whiteboard.

It is recommended to have a pc/laptop for the assignments to be done at home.
