Course contents
Lessons will focuse on themes of marginality and juvenile deviance, considered considered from an educational and historical perspective. Through the analysis of the crucial moments and figures that contributed to the evolution of the juvenile penal system, lessons will investigate the transition from a repressive-punitive-custodial approach to the birth of a culture of children's rights, with the consequent implications on an educational level

Teaching methods
Frontal lessons will be added to group activities focused on different researches, with the aim to analyze documents related to all themes of the course.
Assessment methods
The evaluation of the students will be focus on the level and type of participation to the different activities proposed during the scheduled meetings, as well as on the analysis and discussion of a working group.
