Learning outcomes

The students will learn about the anatomical organization (gross, microscopic and ultrastructural anatomy) of  the organs of the digestive apparatus.

Course contents

Oral cavity, tongue and salivary glands.

Pharynx.

Esophagus.

Stomach.

Small intestine.

Large intestine.

Liver and biliary tract.

Pancreas

Autonomic innervation of the digestive apparatus.

There will be downloadable teaching aids available as pdf files that can be downloaded using your institutional email address (@studio.unibo.it) and password.

Teaching methods

The course comprises 3 credits. During the frontal teaching classes (2 credits), slides will be projected to fully illustrate all the topics of the Contents. One credit wil be devoted to a laboratory of microscopic/ultrastructural anatomy of the digestive tract. 

Assessment methods

There will be an oral examination with questions related to the topics discussed during the classes.
